In american society today, there are many who suffer from Anorexia. This is commonly found in most girls and woman. Anorexia is an illessness that people have when they have an obsssesion with being thin. Instead of loosing weight by excersizing, proper dieting, they do the opposite. They also often have this illusion that they are extremely fat. To them they see a fat figure and are in denial that they are skinny. Anyone who looks at a person with anorexia can tell they are malnurished and need to gain some pounds. But when that person looks at them selves they see an over weight figure. They then continue  a visious cycle of eating very small portions, excessive excersizing, starvation, and vomiting to loose more weight that they dont have.
People with this disorder usually go through this because of lack of self confidence and what society portrays what the "ideal" body is supposed to look like. Flat stomach, curves, and thin. Many woman and teens sometimes want to have this look but usually go too far. They then start to create this habbit of not eating, which then turns into anorexia.

“The better humans will view ‘normal’ humans as the other and seek to control or destroy them”. My position on this hypothesis is vise-versa. Originally Annas wrote “the normal humans will view the ‘better’ humans as the other and seek to control or destroy them”. Throughout the movie Gattaca it shows how the better humans viewed “normal” or the non-genetically engineered humans as the other.
In the beginning of the movie Vincent says that it was discrimination down to the science. What he meant by this was that all humans got jobs based on genetics. If you were ill you weren’t abele to be sent off to space. All the men who weren’t perfect were placed to clean as a job. Vincent happen to be one of the unlucky ones. Having a chronic illness and not being able to live a long time suffered. He had this dream to go to space but wasn’t qualified. His blood type didn’t match the job description. His brother on the other hand was. Being a creation of science had no imperfections. To his parents he was the “better” brother and Vincent was the “other” pushed to the side.
